Technician I / II (Kilo Lab)
Job Summary
The basic purpose is to conduct technical activities according to protocols. Receives daily tasking assignments, under moderate supervision. Functions as a member of work team by assisting others and promoting a team-oriented work environment. Performs all work in conformance with applicable regulations. Performs all work in a safe manner. Works within the laboratory or processing environment.
Principal Duties
- Participate in the cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of the equipment and the kilo laboratories
- Assist with maintaining associated batch documentation necessary for the manufacture of active pharmaceutical intermediates along with equipment logs
- Support Chemists with process setups in the Kilo Lab
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in support of equipment setup and cleaning activities
- Assist with maintaining inventory of raw materials, intermediates, and APIs associated with the Kilo Lab facility
- All responsibilities are guided by strict regulations, e.g., cGMPs, SOPs, and batch records; familiarity with the regulations is preferred
- Adhere to safety procedures and demonstrate safe work practices
- Be proactive in assuming responsibilities that enable seamless functioning of the Kilo Lab
- Demonstrate hands-on experience, process/equipment problem solving, and mechanical aptitude skills and be able to work effectively with multiple assignments
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or a related discipline with 1-2 years of experience preferred; Associate degree can be considered depending upon years of experience.
- Demonstrates knowledge of technical area
- Ability to operate laboratory/process equipment and apparatus
- Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written forms in inter-disciplinary environments
- Ability to learn new technical skills and concepts
- Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information
